After your arraignment (and if you are lucky enough to stay at our "Hotel") you will be given either a minimum security dorm style room, A medium security setting with individual rooms, or, the maximum security setting. Which is similar to the medium security setting except security is tighter.  In any case, you can freshen up a bit by taking a shower, Using the bathroom facilities, or just watch some TV.  Of course we determine what station that you watch. Provided it's your turn to watch the TV.

 

Yes, all your needs are taken care of during your stay at LCJ (Livingston County Jail). Our kitchen staff makes and serves you three meals a day, Washes your dirty dishes where 90% of the cooking and cleaning is done by your fellow inmate(s).  And if you have a accident we have an qualified medical staff to see that you remain healthy. If your not healthy then you could never meet  Deputy L. Erdman.  Deputy Erdman is in charge of our inmate reimbursement program.  Because, as of June 1,1984 anyone convicted and sentenced to jail must reimburse the agency for their stay at the current rate of $25.00 per day.
