You are about to enter the jail.
Inside
the security garage, the doors close behind you as the officer parks the patrol
car.
Once inside your personal property is taken from you. You are then searched, new clothing is
issued to you and you are "Booked In" to the jail.
After
you are booked in, you are allowed to make your phone call.
Also
as part of the booking process, you are fingerprinted by a computerized fingerprint
machine.
This
photo also shows the video arraignment camera just to the left of the
Deputy. The camera to the right is used for a still digital photo of the
inmate.
After your arraignment (and if you are lucky
enough to stay at our "Hotel") you will be given either a minimum
security dorm style room,
A
medium security setting with individual rooms,
or,
the maximum security setting.
Which
is similar to the medium security setting except security is tighter. In
any case, you can freshen up a bit by taking a shower,
Using
the bathroom facilities,
or
just watch some TV. Of course we determine what station that you watch.
Provided
it's your turn to watch the TV.
