The Livingston County Dive Team is a dedicated team of deputies specially trained in scuba diving and underwater search techniques. For those that dive in the Caribbean, I'm sure you have an image of a beautiful reef, and great visibility. Here in Michigan, we have fifty degree water (even in August) and NO visibility. We trust our rope handler and the Deputy driving the boat, everything we do underwater is strictly by feel. Our divers regularly train with Howell, Hartland and Brighton Fire Departments. Dive master's Sgt. R. Marshall (left) and Deputy M. Stroup Back row: Deputy Bolling, Deputy Warford, Deputy Hairston and Deputy Schmidt. Front Row: Deputy Chuff, Deputy Woodworth, Sgt. Marshall and Deputy Stroup Relaxed photo of our team. Notice how Deputy Hairston has fun with the helpless and un-expecting camera man as he races to take his seat with the rest of the team. Deputy Woodworth beats the timer on the camera, but not the quick hand of his team mate. It should be interesting to see what other photos show up on this page of the JUNIOR Deputy Hairston because the camera man is also the webmaster...... stay tuned.
