Drug Abuse Resistance Education

Deputy Deborah Utter has been a Deputy since 2000.  She graduated from the Mid Michigan Police Academy in 1996.  She was employed with the Lansing Police Department and the Williamston Police Department prior to becoming a Deputy in 2000.  While with the Williamston Police Department she worked as part of the Police and Kids team, which was taught in grades K-4 at the various schools in the Williamston area.  Deputy Utter also has a teaching certificate from Central Michigan University, which was obtained prior to her becoming a police officer.  She has had 10 years of experience in the classroom prior to coming to work for the Sheriff Department.  She is a life long resident of the county and a graduate of Fowlerville High School.  Deputy Utter is also an active member of the Livingston County Juvenile Drug Treatment Court Team.  She teaches D.A.R.E. at Munn Middle School in Fowlerville, Fowlerville Jr. High and Hartland Farms.
