This automated complaint form is in testing to see if at least in part a complaint can be taken "on-line". If this is a criminal matter or the type complaint that another agency or insurance company will need a copy of the report, you will need to speak to a police officer in person before the complaint can be filled with our department. However, by filling out this form and filing it electronically it is possible that we can save some of the officers time (thus the taxpayers money) and save some of your time. What is the process for the electronic complaint?

We do not have all the problems worked out so if you do not hear from a Deputy within 24 hours of submitting this form please call (517) 546-2440 between 6am and 6pm and ask for dispatch. Your complaint is not completed until the Deputy has assigned an official complaint number to your case.
