This automated complaint form is in testing to see if at least in part a complaint can be taken "on-line".  If this is a criminal matter or the type complaint that another agency or insurance company will need a copy of the report, you will need to speak to a police officer in person before the complaint can be filled with our department.  However, by filling out this form and filing it electronically it is possible that we can save some of the officers time (thus the taxpayers money) and save some of your time.

What is the process for the electronic complaint?

  1. You fill out the information and press the submit button at the bottom of the form.
  2. The complaint will be reviewed and passed on to the appropriate shift supervisor who in turn will assign the complaint to an available Deputy.
  3. The Deputy will contact you either by phone or in person (depending on the circumstances of your complaint).  The Deputy will then verify the information you provided in this form and if necessary do any follow up that is required.  From this point on the complaint will be handled like any other complaint.  You will be given a complaint number, The complaint will be typed up and then forwarded to the prosecutor, if necessary.
