Saturday, August 26th, 2000


8:00am - Historical Camp Life begins in the authentic camps.   Military and civilian camps open to the public all day.  (except during battle).  Sutlers’ Row open to the public, selling replica and authentic uniforms, equipment, and other military and civilian goods.

8:30am - Company Drill.

9:00am to 8:00pm -18th Annual Arts and Craft Show.

10:00am to 5:00pm - Special Impressions Area open to the public - Programs and Demonstrations onging.

10:00am - Union Battalion Drill.

11:00am - Civil War Period School in the Special Impressions Area.

11:15am - Confederate Battalion Drill.

11:30am - Civilian Program: 'Weddings of the Civil War' by the Ladies of the 12th South Carolina in the in the Special Impressions Area.

12:15pm - Cavalry Demonstration on the Battlefield.

12:30pm to 6:15pm - Blue Grass and Acoustic Music Festival, at the Live Music Stage.

2:30pm - - - - Battle

Bring your radio to hear the battle broadcast on WJKN News Radio 1510 AM.

5:30pm to 6:30pm - Period Dance Instruction, by members of the Host Units, in the Military Ball area.  We cordially invite the public to participate.

6:30pm to 10:30pm - Contemporary Country Street Dance on the boulevard, featuring "Dangerous When Wet".

7:00pm to 10:00pm - Military Ball / Town Dance with period music by "RuffWater String Band".

10:00am - Period Craft Demonstration: 'Doll and Rosette Making' by the Ladies of the 7th Michigan in the Special Impressions Area.

10:00am - Confederate Battalion Drill.

11:15am - Union Battalion Drill.

11:30am - Civilian Program: 'Pie Baking Contest' by the Ladies of the Citizens of Wheeling in the Special Impressions Area.

12:00pm to 4:00pm - Blue Grass and Acoustic Music Festival, at the Live Music Stage.

1:30pm - - - - Battle
